The Record Remains

"The Record Remains" explores histories of racial violence against Black communities in America through contemporary art, firsthand accounts, and historical records. Bringing together works from the Untold Stories Collection with testimony, photographs, newspapers, government documents, oral histories, family memory, and place itself, the exhibition examines how these histories have survived and continued to speak across generations.

Through powerful visual and archival storytelling, "The Record Remains" reveals not only what was lost, but what endured. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on memory, survival, truth, and the responsibility of encountering these histories today.
